The Pink Affair is hosted each year by the Zeta Tau Alpha North Fulton Link Alumnae Chapter. In 1992 Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) fraternity adopted The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation as its national philanthropy. Later, the Fraternity broadened its focus to encompass not only the Komen Foundation, but also other educational means dedicated to fighting breast cancer through education, awareness and promoting breast health.

In 2002 the North Fulton Link chapter members decided their fund raising efforts should benefit ZTA’s National Philanthropy - Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. The alumnae hosted a silent auction at the home of one of its members. Chapter members, spouses, friends and family bid on 75 auction items, raising $3,000 in the fight against breast cancer. Each year the event has grown bigger and better.

Since 2002, the ZTA North Fulton Link Alumnae Chapter and The Pink Affair have raised $300,000 in the fight against breast cancer. Past beneficiaries include Komen for the Cure, Komen for the Cure Atlanta Affiliate, TurningPoint Women’s Healthcare and Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation.

Mission Statement:

The Pink Affair, Ltd. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer and to support other organizations involved in breast cancer research, awareness, support, rehabilitation and education.

Pink – “A pale and reddish colorformed by mixing red and white…”
…the designated pigment which shades the ribbon of the fight.
A color symbolic of the battle to find a cure’s missing link and determined soldiers of this war are the Women Wearing Pink.
Some don their pink to honor those who’ve bravely fought and won, and some to support the courage of those whose fight has just begun…
Some wear pink to raise awareness, some wear it in memory of…
some display it to exemplify their compassion, care and love.
They say there’s strength in numbers, so together, let’s raise our drink to toast the diligence and fortitude of The Women Wearing Pink.
